One of the unlucky ones who picked up my new sled early last year. Started it up this year and the first day out my shot stopped working. Took it to my dealer and found out I was out of warranty by a month. They said it was a sensor under the front of the motor that need to get replaced and a two hours of labor.850 blew up. So my 2022 assault 850 with 1255km blew up the other day. No reasons at all was going on a nice straight and just shut down. I guess the top and the bottom end are gone. What would cause it. Dealer is saying codes show over heating but it was running 100 to 110. Sled had never been over heated ever. He wanted it gone thru thoroughly. Getting it back into shape has be easy except for one thing. One item he requested was that the spark plugs be changed. As you may know they are buried deep in the engine compartment. We could see the release of the 600 ace turbo with 120-130 hp, the 900 ace turbo will get a bump to 165 hp. There has been a number of guys on here that have said there isn't a noticeable difference between Gen 4 & Gen 5 in the trail models. I think the Gen 5 in the Summit and Freeride is where there has been significant improvements. I have seen a lot of good reviews of the Gen 5 in the Deep Snow. If choosing an enclosed trailer where the deck resides over the wheels, choose one with a minimum of two torsion axles. For trailers that are at least 26 feet long, ensure three robust torsion axles are built into the unit. RV-style locks are a must.
